The Moment I Knew I Made a Difference

As part of its Teachers’ Day celebrations, Cosmo Foundation launched the campaign “The Moment I Knew I Made a Difference,” inviting Cosmo teachers to reflect on the experiences that made them realise the deeper purpose of being an educator. Through their stories, teachers shared the moments when they witnessed a student gain confidence, overcome a challenge, discover a new possibility, or begin aspiring towards higher education and a brighter future. These reflections went beyond the classroom to reveal the personal meaning of teaching—the moments when a teacher’s guidance became a source of confidence, opportunity, and hope for a young learner. Each story highlighted how the teaching profession has enabled Cosmo educators to build meaningful relationships with children, support their communities, and become catalysts for positive change. The campaign celebrated not only the teachers' contribution to students, but also their own journey of growth and purpose as educators. By giving teachers a platform to share the moments that shaped them, Cosmo Foundation recognised the everyday experiences through which community-based educators create lasting impact—one student, one classroom, and one community at a time.
