Building Foundations: Training of Balmitras

With an aim to expand creativity, curiosity and learning outcomes among children at Cosmo Gyan Vihar Kendra, Cosmo Foundation organized a comprehensive three-day, 18-hour capacity-building training program for 24 Balmitras at Karjan. The intensive curriculum aligned with contemporary standards by covering organizational objectives, the National Education Policy (NEP), foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) principles, and level-wise curriculum planning. Through interactive workshops and demonstration-based learning, participants mastered the effective use of Teaching-Learning Materials (TLMs) and explored innovative methodologies for early childhood care, language, and mathematics education. The program concluded with an evaluation test to assess subject mastery of the Balmitras' capacity to deliver high-quality, impactful learning experiences for children in rural communities.
