Empowering Rural Youth Through Digital and Language Skills This Summer

This summer, while classrooms fell silent for vacation, learning never paused for the youth of 14 villages across Gujarat and Maharashtra. Cosmo Foundation, in partnership with local schools and ITIs, conducted intensive 45-day courses in Digital Skill Building and Basic & Fluent English Course, transforming summer break into a season of growth. 228 students mastered Computer Basics, gaining hands-on fluency in essential hardware and software operations, while 275 students advanced further, developing proficiency in MS Office, ChatGPT, Gemini, Canva, NotebookLM, social media platforms, and e-commerce fundamentals — tools that are rapidly redefining tomorrow's workplace. Parallelly, language emerged as a bridge to opportunity. 336 students, including ITI learners, shalinis and youth, achieved Communication fluency in English, while 269 students built strong foundational communication skills through the interactive Cosmo English Tutor platform. By weaving together digital literacy and language proficiency, this initiative gave rural youth more than just new skills — it gave them the confidence to step boldly into a technology-driven future.
